In France, the Act N.99-5 on 6.01.99 (decreed on 27.04.99) classifies our puppies, officially recognized by the FCI, in the second category, that is to say guard dogs and defence dogs. You must be of legal age and have no criminal record in order to own this breed.

You also have to:

- register your dog at the town hall
- have special insurance (on which we can advise),
- keep the dog on lead and muzzled in public spaces.

It is not compulsory to sterilize your dog.
